Watch: Lionel Messi leaves Luis Suarez and Barcelona teammates embarrassed at training
Lionel Messi might have retired from international football after yet another Copa America disappointment, but football fans take heart in the fact that the magician's club career with Barcelona is far from over. The little Argentine might have had a few hiccups along the way, but he is still going strong.
Despite a difficult summer, Messi is ready to take on his opposition as a new season beckons. He is back in training and is already making mince meat out of his teammates. Barcelona put up a video on Twitter, showing Messi at his mesmerising best and basically putting his teammates to shame with his dribbling skills.
A certain Luis Suarez, who outscored Messi last season, was especially left embarrassed after the 29-year-old made a joke out him in training, faking, dribbling and nutmegging past the Uruguayan.
Suarez, one of world's best strikers himself, must be feeling a bit red-faced after the dribbling lesson handed out to him. The good news is that Messi looks like he has left the Copa America disappointment behind him and is eager to set fire to the new season.
The video should serve a warning to other clubs: beware, blond Messi is just as dangerous as he was before.
The 2016-17 La Liga season begins 19 August. Barcelona will play its opening game on 20 August against Real Betis.
